CSUEU and CSU Reach Tentative Agreement on Telecommuting

We have a tentative agreement with the CSU that covers the impacts of telecommuting on employees during the Covid-19 pandemic. Since the coronavirus outbreak last March, CSUEU has urged the University to work with us to develop systemwide policies that would help campuses implement more consistent standards and metrics as employees’ working conditions dramatically changed.

The tentative agreement on telecommuting, reached in late December, is the first systemwide negotiated agreement between CSUEU and the CSU related to the pandemic. >> Read full article.

Unions Suggest Guidelines for Vaccine Rollout, Focused on Community and Employee Safety

California has begun rolling out the COVID-19 vaccine, based on federal guidance for counties to follow regarding priority populations and communities that should get the vaccine first.

SEIU California, of which CSUEU is an affiliate, is a member of a state taskforce charged with providing feedback and advising vaccine rollout guidelines. There is a lack of information, transparency, and oversight from the state on how the rollout will be operationalized at the local and employer level.
